The world of vintage Pokémon stretches far beyond a booster pack. Explore the objects that can turn a card collection into a little museum of your own.
This guide highlights collecting categories and possible future additions to Mount Moon TCG. It is not a statement of current stock. Items are available only when an individual listing shows them in stock.
Bandai Carddass
Bandai’s 1996 Pokémon Carddass releases offer an early collecting path separate from the Pokémon TCG. When buying, check the series, numbering, finish and card back rather than relying on the Pokémon’s name alone.
Vending sheets
A loose card and an intact sheet are different collecting objects. Ask whether cards have been peeled, whether the backing remains and whether the sheet has creases or edge wear.
Magazines and inserts
CoroCoro issues, promotional inserts and period advertising can add context to a binder. Check the exact issue and whether the advertised card, poster or other insert is actually included.
Music, games and packaging
CDs, game boxes and their original paperwork can make a display feel complete. Photograph the contents together and distinguish an empty box from a complete package or a sealed item.
Figures and miniature worlds
Vintage TOMY figures and Pokémon Kids figures are possible collection themes. Identify the maker and release, then check paint wear, missing parts and packaging before treating two similar figures as the same item.
Plush, stationery and small treasures
Consider character-led collections of plush, stickers, notebooks, pins or pencil cases. Tags, maker marks and packaging help tell the story; age alone does not establish authenticity.
A better listing tells the whole story
- Identify the manufacturer, series and approximate era, with evidence for any precise date.
- Show the actual item from several angles, including marks, labels and wear.
- List every included piece, and call out anything missing.
- Keep reproductions, loose items, complete packages and sealed examples clearly distinguished.
